2017 Alain Chabanon «Campredon»
Region: France, Languedoc
Grape Variety: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre
Dry, med-bodied red; fruity, floral | Burgers!
You can hear Alain himself talking about Campredon in this video.
Alain is who we want to have a drink with at 8am – engaging, dedicated and well-stocked with great wines. The Campredon is made of old vines with an average age of 22 years, and the grapes go through a full malolactic fermentation. Expect red peppers on leather, some earthiness and Mediterranean herbs on the nose, and a smooth, hearty red without much interruption from the tannins. Fantastic with a burger or completely gluggable its own.
