Thomas Carsin resisted the commercial temptation to rip out the old vines and worked hard to restore the vineyards to full health; most of the land is now or about to be certified organic, and more importantly, the vines are once again producing grapes and wine worthy of the terroir.
The Magellan is named after Ferdinand Magellan, the first explorer to circumnavigate the world in the early 1520s. Expect lots of bellpepper, hints of mint, and supple tannins to make a powerful, smooth sailing Cabernet Franc ready to connect the world together with the spirit of adventure!
