Damien is probably the best farmer we’ve met (his family farmed oats near Versailles), and he’s a pretty good winemaker as well. His insistence on organic farming, hand-harvesting, and simple, slow fermentations allows the various terroirs to shine through. The Petite Roche is a relatively new addition to his portfolio, having been planted around the old windmill to the west of Savennières town. It has polished layers of intense, zested fruit, with a mineral finish that complements any simply-prepared seafood dish.
