This historic estate in England’s sleepy South Downs broke the mould through the work of Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs together with her husband Brad Greatrix. Growing only the three classic Champagne grapes, which slowly ripen to perfection in sheltered sites, Nyetimber has shaken up the wine world as it lives up to its mission to rival the world’s best sparkling wines.

With the Tillington Single Vineyard, Nyetimber continues to break fresh ground. This is the first single vineyard wine to come out of England. First made in 2009, it was originally designated to be a Blanc de Noirs. Three adjacent plots unexpectedly showed such incredible potential, that the winemakers decided to take advantage of the high-quality fruit with a single vineyard wine. The Tillington is noticeably less fruity than Nyetimber's other cuvées, which is partly down to the preponderance of Pinot Noir (76% for the 2013 vintage) and also due to the 5 years it spends on the lees.
