Visiting Mario is always, always a treat, and we love the spot just above the church of San Lorenzo in Brazzano; the southwest-facing vineyard (named after the church, naturally) is a mosaic of different sub-gradients and micro-expositions, and there's a vibrancy to the vineyard which is impossible to ignore. Denser and rounder than the San Pietro, the San Lorenzo might be our favourite of the entire range (but don't tell Mario that!).
