The «Aurèlia» is named after the grandmother of the Junyent family, and is a blend of Macabeo, Xarel.lo, Parellada and Chardonnay, where that bit of distinctive Chardonnay knits the wine into a denser, fuller whole. Lots of toasty and green apples on the nose with a bit of lime curd, a denser body and a great, savoury finish.

The Catalonian Junyent family first planted vines in the 20th century. But it was only when the estate passed into the hands of the enterprising womenfolk that they started making wines. It is now the third generation of women who are working the land according to biodynamic practices. The vines are spread over 6 vineyards, which allows them to find optimum altitudes and soils for each grape variety.
