STAFF PICKS - MARCH 2022
Posted by YiXin Ong on
March is when we kick off our Rhône pre-arrival offers in earnest, and our staff picks this month reflect that:
2020 Eric Texier Côtes du Rhône Adèle
"Adèle was actually the first wine I tried from our portfolio, and certainly not the last! The grape variety is Clairette, which is one of the oldest grapes from France, dating back from mid-1500’s. It’s very fragrant, fresh and you will find fruity flavours such as apricot, apple and pear. This indigenous variety will take you straight to the west bank of the Rhône River. Bon voyage!" - Evelien
2018 Domaine Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage Rouge
"As a Ukrainian I naturally know how how difficult it is to be seen as an underdog. Now, as never before, I realize the amount of hard work, courage and self-confidence one must have to stand up to Goliath. This classical Rhone wine is the result of conscientious vineyard management and winery techniques that helped Alain elevate the reputation of Crozes-Hermitage, once known as "junior Hermitage". Balanced with leathery notes and coating tannins, this is the wine I fell in love with during my first day with Analogue Wine Merchant." - Maria
